eurotrip

Not the most original title, but it applies.

I'm going to Europe this summer! I have mentioned my intentions before, but it's happening. I have officially spent an exorbitant amount of money on plane tickets so I have to go.

Here are the details:

May 31: bus Augusta, ME to Logan Airport, Boston
May 31 - June 1: plane Boston to Edinburgh via Amsterdam
June 1 - June 4: Edinburgh, exact location tbd
June 4: train Edinburgh to London
June 4 - June 12: London, Marriott Kensington
June 12: train London to Amsterdam via Brussels
June 12 - June 14: Amsterdam, exact location tbd
June 14: plane Amsterdam to Boston (direct!)
June 14: bus Logan Airport to Augusta, ME

15days, 14nights in Europe, 3cities. Awesome.

And oh, did I mention that I would being seeing friends for part of this trip? As it stands, Missy & Franklin will be in London for 3nights overlapping, and the Amsterdam leg of the journey also coincides with them. Hopefully there may even be a possibility to see others.

And finally, a huge, HUGE thank you to my parents. This trip is expensive, and I was avoiding making actual arrangements because I didn't want to do the financial math. Then we get into the vicious cycle of there not being reasonably-priced flights and accommodations the later you wait. BUT my parents came to the rescue and graciously offered me the use of their Marriott time share points for my London stay (as a very generous birthday gift). This has allowed me to not only stay in London for over a week (there's so much to do and see there!), but to also stay in the city. So, mom and dad... THANK YOU. Love.

That's all I have about the trip now. I'll continue to update as more information comes in.
