condiment compliments

I know I haven't posted in a while and - well - this post isn't really going to make up for it, but I wanted to share. I have a new food obsession: pesto. I've always liked pesto, but things are at a new extreme right now. I only want to eat things that will pair well with pesto. In fact - don't judge - when preparing other things with pesto, I eat a little straight out of the container. Yum.


  1. I would eat pesto every day and be happy for the rest of my life! It's so good on pasta and sandwiches. I consider it a lifestyle.

  2. My favorite dish to prepare (and you've had it!) is to cook tortellini, then add tons of pesto and grated Parmesan cheese. Vegetables such as frozen peas (the quickly defrost with the hot pasta), mushrooms (I know, you'll opt out), grape tomatoes, and sometimes broccoli can be added as well. It's good hot, even better as a cold salad later. I suppose a protein like chicken could be added; I generally use a chicken-filled tortellini.

  3. LOVE PESTO. i sometimes do that with peanut butter as i make a sandwich. haha
