i try to learn a new thing everyday

Today I learned that when it is -12degrees out (due to wind chill), one only needs to be outside for less than a minute before their snot freezes. In their nose. Ponder on that.

I believe Laura's reaction most accurately sums up my feelings on the subject:

"hahaha ewwww... slash awesome?"

  2. The image of frozen snot is compelling enough when it's on your face. I can't fathom it in your nose--you must describe the sensation: can you breathe?

  3. When I went to undergrad in the Buffalo area, I learned that it was REALLY cold if I had to look down and check if I was wearing pants outside. Sometimes, it would be so cold, I thought I forgot them before I left my building in the morning! I never did forget them, but it's the worst feeling to think you are outside and pantsless in the middle of winter.
